Job Description:
Purpose
Creatively conceptualize and design innovative online graphics, user interface elements and web design that support ilovetocreate.com’s vision, branding and positioning to meet marketing, sales and product goals, and user expectations.
Key Result Areas (Essential) include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Art Direction – Collaborate with the web team to conceptualize and visualize creative objectives that exceed expectations and are reflective of both the site and multiple brand principles. Maintain exceptional knowledge and understanding of internal brands, consumer base, competitors, trends, colors and technology. Use knowledge to inspire team.
Design Communication – Ability to powerfully communicate design concepts to client and team.
Design Execution – Ensure that the approved concept is executed within the timeframe. Manage client expectations effectively. Provide final product to client that exceeds their expectations.
Design Consistency – Work cross-functionally to ensure brand consistency. Support the ideation of brand and category philosophy, strategy and growth.
Technology – Must compulsively stay informed of new developments in web technologies and software.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: 4-year college degree in Graphics/Web Design or the equivalent and 3-5 years of web design experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Exceptional graphic design skills such as: drawing/sketching, typography, concept ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing and scale, visual presentation development and layout
Web graphics, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver and web design with HTML and CSS experience
Familiar with challenges of browser/server compatibility
Should be comfortable working with a variety of operating systems such as Windows, Macintosh and Unix
User interface design experience
Awareness and knowledge of web-based email, blogging, RSS feeds, social networking and social media
Proven ability to understand and conceptualize marketing principles and apply to design within a set timeline
Strong verbal and visual communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure of tight deadlines and changing demands
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously against tight deadlines
Attention for details as well as the ability to see projects through to completion
Salary: $18.93 - $24.07 per hour
