JOB GROUP SUMMARY
Customer Service is the important first-line of contact with customers, setting the tone for how members, doctors and plan sponsor groups view our company. It provides members with the right information at the right time to help them make better decisions about their health and health care.
POSITION SUMMARY
Excellent service skills are required in order to build trusting, value added relationships with customers, marketing reps, peers and many other Aetna departments. Flexibility is key with the ability to change directions quickly, efficiently and be seamless to our customers. Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written. Ability to deal with sensitive issues is a must and must have the ability to deal professionally in all situations. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required particularly the ability to create and populate Excel spreadsheets. Other required skills are: Attention to detail and accuracy, problem solving skills, strong math and accounting skills, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize effectively and the ability to analyze financial information and reports. College degree or equivalent work experience is required.

EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
FUNCTIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
- Customer Service: Customer service - production environment
- Customer Service: Plan sponsor accounts receivable
- Customer Service: Plan sponsor administration / support
- Customer Service: Plan sponsor eligibility
- Customer Service: Customer Service Plan Sponsor Customer meetings

- Apply state and federal legislation and regulations
- Conduct manual enrollment updates, including adds, changes, terminations, address updates, ID card requests, COB, Member Details for claims payments, HIPAA certificates etc
- Call Tracking
- Enterprise Billing System
- Manage delinquent accounts through resolution and apply corporate cancellation policy
- Research and resolve eligibility related issues regarding member specific information
