INTERN: As an intern, you’ll gain real world experience in helping individuals and/or businesses prepare for their futures. In addition to developing networking and business relationship skills, you’ll gain valuable insight into various personal and business situations. Once you’re licensed, you’ll be able to make product recommendations and provide ongoing service in a variety of areas, such as: estate conservation, retirement funding, and employee benefits. Further, as an intern, you’ll experience the entrepreneurial side of the business, which can help you decide if insurance is the right business for you. The program is flexible and, therefore, accommodating to your class and activity schedule. And, finally, you’ll be paid to do all of this! 1. Education — NYLIC University NYLIC University provides the essential training and materials you’ll need to complete all training requirements and pass the state-licensing exam. Next, you’ll attend Career Orientation and learn the fundamentals of life insurance. Our Sales Development Managers will do everything they can to get you off to a fast start. NYLIC University Career Development School will take it from there. Its specialized training will help you sharpen your sales skills, increase product knowledge, and gain an understanding of solid business practices. 2. Training Path We’ll show you how to integrate New York Life’s “Sales Cycle” with the basics you’ve learned from NYLIC University. 3. Supervision Weekly Unit Meeting — You’ll meet with a supervisor weekly to evaluate your progress, brainstorm sales ideas, and plan solutions with other interns. Mentor Program — Through our Mentor Program, you’ll accompany a skilled full-time agent on sales calls to get a glimpse of “what it’s really like out there.” Field Work & Feedback — During field work, your Manager will accompany you on your initial sales calls with potential clients. Compensation From the start, you may be eligible to receive an hourly wage while preparing for the state licensing exam and attending initial training. Once licensed, you’ll have the opportunity to generate commissions from the products you sell. Managers will work with you to make sure you’ve got the knowledge and skills to hit the ground running. Qualifications:
We are looking for motivated, confident, and sharp individuals seeking experience with an elite Fortune 100 company that provides five-star training, unlimited support, immediate ownership, huge income potential, and have great impact with-in their communities. Seniors ONLY Majors: Business Preferred: Finance, Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship etc.. Communications, Advertising, Psychology, and Sociology will be considered.
Salary: $9/hr for 60 hrs stipend along with additional income opportunity
