IT TECHNICAL ANALYST
Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Systems / IT Technical Analyst.
DESIRED PROFILE:
• Bachelors in computer science or another complimentary field. Applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Possesses critical thinking and judgment to discern various needs and influence.
• Be able to communicate effectively through writing and oral presentations.
• Be a good listener and provide sound advice.
• Ability to build and maintain relationship with clients, management, and other colleagues.
• Note - Interviews would be held over the phone and/or in-person.
SKILLS:
The right candidate must have the following skills:
• Create design specifications
• Streamline implementation and support of project initiatives
• Perform requirement feasibility analysis
• Database modeling and design
• System integration using XML and web services or similar technology
• Perform unit tests of system interfaces
• Bachelors degree or higher
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Elicit, analyze, communicate and validate business, user and functional requirements
• Lead requirement gathering session
• Analyze existing reports and identify iteration metrics
• Identify source of data for the data warehouse
• Create entity-relationship diagrams
• Act as technical consultant to the ETL and front-end programmers
• Understanding of database structures, conceptual, physical and logical data modeling
• ETL tools – Informatica, Cognos
• At least 4 years of experience in database design and development using SQL or PL/SQL
