Substance Abuse Counselor
Job Description:
Primary responsibilities include conducting: Intakes, Assessments, Individual Counseling, Treatment Planning and facilitating Group Counseling for adolescents ranging in age from 9-18 years. Group counseling will include: Substance Abuse, Gang Intervention and Prevention, Life Skills, and Anger Management. May be located at a school site in Fresno or rural community.
Qualifications:
Must be certified or working towards counselor certification through a State-approved accredited organization. (Eminence will help facilitate this process if applicant has not begun process). Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Health Science, Addiction Studies, or related field is preferred. Candidates who are pursuing degrees are encouraged to apply also. Driver’s License and reliable transportation. (Mileage will be paid for all business-related travel). Adolescent, Substance Abuse, and Counseling Experience a plus. Fingerprints and background clearance will be conducted prior to employment. Only motivated and energetic individuals who are dedicated in helping adolescents make positive changes need apply.
Salary: $12.00-$17.00 DOE
