Job description:
SHN is seeking Geotechnical Engineers who will be responsible for all phases of project management from initiation through execution to project close. Geotechnical Engineers at SHN will write proposals, negotiate agreements, prepare budgets, perform geotechnical analyses, conduct technical/site investigations, create investigation reports, and maintain client relations. Candidates must be able to work closely with our in house soils and materials testing laboratory, specifically in regards to geotechnical drilling & sampling, field inspections of foundation construction activities, and geotechnical foundation & earthquake engineering analyses.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
*California Professional Geotechnical Engineer License (GE)
*Minimum of five (5) years technical experience and at least five (5) years of professional project management experience.
*Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
*Valid Driver’s license (CA) by hire date
*Working knowledge of the conditions and engineering requirements in northern California and southern Oregon preferred.
