Eurofins | Agroscience Services, Americas is a newly created regulatory field studies company, which brings together the global research capabilities of Eurofins Scientific and Eurofins Agroscience Services market-leading product development and technical support services to the crop protection industry. Our expertise in conducting and managing field, greenhouse, and laboratory studies on crops and professional pest management targets to develop safety, registration, and efficacy data on new chemicals, crop characteristics, seed traits, that also include biological and organic products, has established us as Europe’s ‘contractor of choice’ and we now seek quickly to attain a similar market position in North America.
As Eurofins | Agroscience Service continues to grow, and we develop established systems and client relationships to provide service across the Americas, there is a need for enthusiastic individuals in the Fresno, California area.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement field trials in assigned regions, conduct field studies from start to completion in support of projects across the Southwest, but primarily in the San Joaquin Valley.
Work closely with colleagues and sub-contractors across the US to ensure technical consistency on a range of GLP residue, chemical and seed trait efficacy, crop agronomic evaluations, and product safety testing
Provide leadership as study focal point and liaison with customer study contact for some broad geographic studies
Obtain licenses to perform research studies in assigned regions
Regularly update clients on projects
Work with management to prioritize and effectively manage workload to meet project deadlines for trial completion and reporting
Qualifications:
As part of our growth strategy we seek Field Development Specialists with the following qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in field plot work, efficacy and residue studies
A background in agricultural seed and chemical research, horticulture and/or professional product testing
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Five to ten years of experience within the Ag Chem, Seed, or Professional Pest Mngt sectors including university research
Masters degree or Ph.D. in Weed Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Breeding or other agricultural or horticultural discipline. A candidate with significant experience holding a Bachelors Degree, will also be given serious consideration for this position
Possess the ability to obtain licenses to perform research studies in assigned regions
Excellent communication skills for client interaction
A high level of initiative and motivation as well as an enthusiastic team player
A good understanding of the principles of GLP and preferably have experience in field development
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Salary: salary based on experience & training
