Child Welfare Field Trainer - Kings County
Job Description:
Part - time non-benefited position with California State University, Fresno Foundation - Central California Regional Child Welfare Training Academy. This position is located in Kings County and requires extensive traveling within the county and occasional traveling throughout the state. Funding for the position is on a fiscal year basis.
This position provides competency-based training models to prepare Social Work Supervisors for their roles and responsibilities as educators, coaches, and trainers; transfer of learning and skill evaluation activities; assisting unit supervisors with the assessment of learning needs of new and experienced employees; making recommendations regarding policies and procedures that best support the training and skill development of supervisors and staff.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, and/or ability required.
-Knowledge of issues associated with administering Title IV-E, Title IV-B and/or Title XX
-Knowledge of legislation supporting state, county and community social services programs
-Ability to establish effective working relationships with the state and county social services agencies
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Effective Written and oral communication skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all professional levels
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, MFCC, or related Human Services field from an accredited college or university acceptable within the United States.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a social work supervisor in a public, private or non-profit Child Welfare agency.
Preferred: Staff development and/or training experience in a public or social service setting.
Salary: $32.00 to $36.00 per hour
