Job Description:
Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Software Engineer position.
Summary
Develops designs, tests codes and integrates software products. Provides support to and works alongside other engineers to create innovative products and identify, implement and test applications and services that best prepare the company to meet future business goals.
Duties
* Utilizes technical knowledge to write and complete software tasks and projects
* Researches new technologies and incorporates them into new systems and products
* Tests, integrates, writes, troubleshoots, and debugs software applications and on client sites.
* Responsible for the architecture and implementation of critical software components and games; uses company standards and applies design principals and patterns to develop robust software
* Works closely with other engineers to provide guidance and assistance in the areas of software architecture, coding standards, and system related issues
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
* Develop expertise on our embedded Linux gaming platform.
* Develop expertise in our game development library code base so that you can contribute to the ongoing design and additional functionality improvements.
* Responsible for creating high quality code and following corporate guidelines of coding standards.
* Complete work in a timely manner.
* Test, debug and revise code, including profiling, performance analysis and performance tuning as necessary.
* Responsible for documentation of gained knowledge regarding procedures, processes, pipelines, tools, etc.
* Work independently with supervision varying with the task at hand.
* Report to Game Producer for day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications:
Requirements
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED
* Proficiency in C++ and/or C with exp in Flash.
* Should be familiar with general software development tools.
* PC or Console Game Development Exp.
* BSCS, BSCE, BSEET, BSEE or related field.
* Ability to work in a cross platform environment. (Windows XP and Linux)
* Passion for playing games.
Pluses:
* Experience with real time embedded systems.
* Working on WindowsCE is a plus
* Experience with 3D graphics.
* Linux development experience.
* Knowledge of casino style games.
* Strong math background.
