Distribution Associate
Job Description:
Purpose:
The Distribution Associate is responsible for receiving, handling, stocking/replenishing product, storage and shipping of orders as needed. They are also responsible for loading trucks with outbound freight.
Key Result Areas:
Picking:
Pick orders according to designated guidelines to ensure shipments are properly shipped.
Prepare proper documentation for orders shipped.
Palletize orders accurately as they are picked for shipment.
Cycle count on a daily basis.
Access computer screens to obtain information.
Receiving:
Unload all incoming raw material, supplies and finished good products from the delivery trucks, overseas containers or bulk containers.
Receive and transport raw materials and finished goods to the storage areas using forklift, pull cart, or flat bed truck. Will also load for outbound freight.
Verify carton or pallet count with the delivery paperwork, noting any damages or discrepancies.
Verify product quantities with the enclosed packing list.
Stock Control:
Stock product into storage racks and replenish the picking racks as needed.
Transport finished goods from production to the Shipping area, using forklift, pallet jack, side reach or order picker.
Stock pallets in the distribution area
Empty trash and cardboard bins as needed.
Physically transfer product from bottling lines to inventory staging areas and verify the quantities
Qualifications:
Previous lift truck experience required.
Must pass Duncan Certification Program upon hire.
Must be able to communicate well with others and meet shipping deadlines in fast pace warehouse environment.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on shipping/receiving.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
Salary: 8.80 - 9.84 per hour
