Data Analyst - Key Retail Accounts
Job Description:
Purpose
The Data Analyst interacts with key retail accounts (Michael’s & Joann’s) to maintain appropriate inventory at the item/site level, acts as a liaison with other departments to ensure demand can be met, as well as provide analytical support.
KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL) include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Develop and maintain a relationship with customer’s Replenishment Managers.
Conduct analysis of customer business trends using internal and external data sources. Provide actionable business building recommendations at company and customer levels.
Utilize Customer online tools to ensure appropriate product flow to the right stores, minimize out of stocks, and maximize sales.
Ensures accuracy of coding and master data, as it relates to replenishment.
Works with customers and forecast analysts to review item requirements.
Identifies and executes, with the Forecast Analyst, all systematic adjustments responding to seasonal lifts and promotional activities.
Develop and maintain reports and databases to support the replenishment function.
Monitor sell through, analyze trends, and troubleshoot in-stock issues.
Identify issues regarding customer product demand vs. company availability.
Provide analytical support for other internal departments to assist in decision-making.
Provide back up for Forecast Specialist.
Travel to customer’s facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Analytical skills including forecasting, financial/statistical modeling and sales analysis.
Ability to condense high volumes of complex data into meaningful insights including internal shipment history, sales forecasts and retailer POS.
Detail oriented with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and projects.
Organization and time management skills.
Interpersonal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including advance skills in Excel.
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Initial travel to customer’s educational training and 1-2 times per year thereafter.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics and/or 2-4 years analytical experience.
Salary: $18.93 - $24.07
