Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will function as a practitioner, coordinator, consultant, educator and researcher within the nursing specialty areas. You will collaborate with the Education department to assess, conduct, and evaluate programs for staff development and competency determination. You will coordinate care for a select group of complex patients utilizing resource availability, accessibility, quality and cost effectiveness. You will act as a resource to promote, maintain, restore, rehabilitate or provide nursing care to the patient, family, community and environment through individual counseling and facilitation of support groups. You will write reviews and update nursing policies and procedures within the standards and scope of practice defined by professional, institutional, and regulatory agency relations/ standards. You will identify recurrent problems and system deficiencies and participate in quality improvement processes.
Qualifications:
•B.S in Nursing, and a MSN with a focus in, Medical Surgical, rehab, or Long Term Acute Care.
•RN licensure, BCLS, CNS, or Advanced Practice Nursing certification required.
Minimum of two years of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting.
