Health Educator
Job Description:
Person in this position is responsible for facilitating individual and group counseling/educational sessions with HIV positive individuals and those at risk for HIV; conduct outreach to various community based organizations and agencies that work with people who are at risk for HIV infection. Person will conduct street and on-line outreach.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences, Community Health, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation or related field is preferred; High School diploma or equivalent is required; one (1) year experience working with at risk populations is required; able to use on-line resources and computer is a must; Experience working with LGBT Community is a plus; possession of a valid California Driver’s License; and must be able to qualify for WestCare vehicle insurance.
Salary: $11/per hr
