Healthcare Associate (Parlier)
Job Description:
Assists HCA Supervisor with directing, supervising, and coordination of staff to ensure smooth operations at assigned center. Represents the HCA Supervisor on the center’s Site Leadership Team in their absence. Ensures complete and accurate information of all patient encounters and charge information. Provides complete, accurate and timely posting of all patient encounter data; procedures, diagnosis, demographics and payment collection data. Audit and verify information on data entry document with existing information in patient database. Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety regulations as defined by United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley, Inc.
Qualifications:
Must have a Medical Office Administration or a Certified Medical Coder certification; minimum 2 years experience in heath care or ambulatory care patient financial services; knowledge of benefits, covered services, billing and reimbursement procedures of all payer types, medical terminology; knowledge of CHDP, State Funded Programs, Presumptive and Managed Care Medi-Cal programs; experience and knowledge of online patient systems with emphasis on clinical systems, preferably Mega West; demonstrated leadership experience and/or special projects motivating a group of people; ability to speak and hear clearly, person-to-person or via the telephone; ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines; ability to keep neat and accurate files; Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
