Job Description:
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
General Health Aide
•Assists individuals/families who are in need of health service and refers them to appropriate facilities.
•Arranges and/or reschedules appointments for individuals and families for health services.
•Performs screening tests such as temperature, weight/height measurements, and simple urine tests.
•Assists in conducting interviews/surveys among target groups to gather data on health problems.
•Teaches simple health practices such as nutrition, hygiene, child care, immunization.
•Works in clinics and homes to provide health services.
•Maintains simple records and reports.
•May perform certified screening tests.
•Calls emergency situations to the attention of immediate supervisor.
•May provide Targeted Case Management services and engage in outreach and other activities to enhance services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
•May assist in the training of other staff.
Physical/Occupational Aide
•Assists in the preparation of patients for treatments.
Observes patients during treatment and reports unusual occurrences or lack of progress.
•Carries out instructed treatment activities to improve range of motion, and promote treatment.
•Trains patients in equipment use.
•Constructs or assists with fabrications of simple items of adaptive equipment.
•Maintains sanitation of treatment areas such as whirlpool, exercise mats and equipment.
•Maintains therapy and patient records.
•Performs patient and therapist scheduling.
•May repair and make adjustment to equipment as directed.
•May provide Targeted Case Management services and engage in outreach and other activities to enhance services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. (Additional directly related experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.)
License:
Possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s license.
Experience:
Level I:
None
Level II:
One (1) year of experience in a patient care setting.
Special Requirements:
•Ability to communicate effectively in English and the language of an identified target community.
•Certain positions may require the ability to speak Spanish, Mien, Hmong, or Lao in order to translate for clients.

Salary: $1,910.00 - $2,434.00 Monthly
