Industrial Engineering Manager
Job Description:
Keiser Corporation is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager for it Fresno plant. Reporting to the Vice President of Manufacturing the Industrial Engineering Manager will build and drive a continuous improvement Lean Manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include providing functional support to the production teams in Fabrication. Efforts must enable the production team to execute challenging quality, schedule, and cost goals as the program transitions to rate production. Determines the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow; establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Direct studies pertaining to cost control, quality control, inventory control, and production record systems, and development and implementation of plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. Major emphasis on the implementation and refinement of labor standard development and application, crew plans, line balancing, crew rotation and improvements to the manufacturing processes. Formulates and direct activities leading to reduction in manufacturing costs and shortening span times. Perform assembly capacity analysis and develop long term rate acceleration plans including tooling and capital equipment requirements. Develops and implements detail shop floor work plans. Develops production schedules, major tool activation dates, special schedules, integrating all schedules with the master production schedule. Lead the training of management and hourly workforce on productivity and work methods.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology with at least three yrs of experience in manufacturing environment in an engineering position. Or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of progressive experience.
